The ocean can symbolize all kinds of feelings for people born on the islands of Southeast Asia, from romantic love to nostalgia. “Jellyfish,” written by Sunset Rollercoaster’s drummer Tsun-Lung, tells of a lonely jellyfish’s breakup story. As for Michael Seyer, the sound of waves brings him back to Manila, and everything he sees and feels—the sunset, trees, and breeze—are all part of Manila, his home in memories.
lyrics
There's no running away
Home's not just a place
Home is also the trees
And the sky and this melody
Don't be so foolish
You're not gone, not for long
Cause I'll be back home
Again, for a Manila sunset
And whatever you say
It's still on your face
Home is simply the breeze
And the sun and sweet harmonies
Don't be so stupid
They live on, through this song
Cause i'll be back home
Again, for a manila Sunset
It's waiting, just hold on
Not for long
Cause I'll be back home
Again, for a Manila sunset
